We raise Great Pyrenees guard dogs!

Our Great Pyrenees Guard Dogs have been featured in two Southeastern Colorado newspapers in the past 11 years.  In the March 6, 1998 issue of the La Junta Tribune-Democrat Farm and Ranch News, Candi Hill wrote about our guard dogs.  Then in the May 13, 2004 issue of The Pueblo Chieftain, Mary Jean Porter wrote another wonderful article describing our Great Pyrenees guard dogs and how they take care of
our sheep.

We are very proud of our Great Pyrenees guard dogs and the puppies they raise. Due to the way that we run our operation, we run at least three to four Great Pyrenees guard dogs with each flock of ewes and/or lambs

Our Great Pyrenees guard dog, Mom Maggie is first and foremost a working dog that guards our sheep.  When puppies are born, she raises them while continuing to guard our sheep.  The puppies learn guarding skills from their Mom and from the older guard dogs that they are raised with.
